Ankers customer service is excellent and believe they will send you a new one if you contact them. They often don't even want the old one back, so you can just bin it if not working.

Inspired by this, I went Ebenezer on it, contacted live chat (a man called Arshit ) and got my £2.01 difference refunded.

This is what I bought for £7.99 on a lightning deal just before Xmas, although didn't come with a lead so ordered THIS to get the most out of it

The 3.0 one doesn't come with a cable either.

So you had a bad one...
Have you contacted them for a replacement, or are you happy just moaning about it?

Fulfilled by amazon = bullet proof, no quibble. Go online and get amazon to ring you and they will bend over backwards to help you, I've just ordered one for my Sony Xperia Z3c

I literally just got one yesterday at £10. Lots of positive reviews interspersed with terrible ones saying the cables fall apart/come loose. Shame. Hopefully mine holds out for a fair while.

If it's definitely this one contact Amazon and they'll likely refund the difference. See OP and below for review breakdown though, only really two bad ones?

It's only £2. I've also been looking at the reviews of the Anker standalone cables. Some reviewers have posted pictures saying the micro end of the cable is likely to fall apart. Oh well, it's fairly cheap, and certainly cheaper than anything else at this spec
