had a look online but I can't make out whether this has the amp/decoder built in. Can anyone tell me? can it accept an optical input?

These are just the speaker packages. No Amp built in. Generally speaking on good AV equipment you would buy a separate amp.

Richer do Amp/speaker package deals. I got the Denon X2200 plus the Moniter audio mass 5'1 for £799 not long ago. They also did packs with these speakers
