Wide colour range, local dimming and decent upscaling of SD and HD material to 4k.
Good deal because with voucher code FTV50 (£50 off TVs that are £600+) brings price down to £645 from £695.
5 year extended warranty directly from Panasonic via application.
Free "rapid" delivery included.
Cheaper than John Lewis or Curry's by around £50 with same 5 year warranty. Richer Sounds offer a year extra on warranty (6 instead of 5) but costs £50 more.
For those with kids, accidental damage cover is only £70 for 5 years (same as JL) but lot cheaper than Curry's.

I ordered this TV from the Co-op on Black Friday, it was set up before 8 o clock on the Sunday morning. That was free delivery as well. I highly recommend both the TV and seller. Sky, Netflix, PC games all look great through this. I did manage to get it for £599 though.

Why not? For those that already have a Panny and are happy with it, and possibly other Viera compatible equipment it should be a safe choice.

err because it's a good TV....
Don't know what's made you come to the opinion that Panasonic TV's are an Inferior brand to Sony, LG or Samsung and of course everyone is entitled to an opinion but sadly yours is the wrong one on this occasion...

The equivalent Sony at the same price point (X83C) has a long list of software issues, which turned me off. Someone on here pointed to the 300+ page support thread with issues.
The equivalent Samsung is the JU6800 which Curry's are selling for £730 ish. It will have one advantage on that Samsung support stated to me it will get HDMI 2.0a (with HDR) support via firmware update. No time frame specified but one of the first.

Only this Panasonic range and above have Freeview Play which is Freeview with on-demand.
Sony's uses the older Youview system.

Panasonic upscaling is pathetic, cannot even upscale to a full 3840x2160, go for Samsung 6800, they do the best upscaling ever and this tv also got the nano cristals

Forget Pana.. Look at the Sony and LG. I'd recommend the Sony for upscaling and overall picture quality.

The Sony I've addressed before and bar the software issues was my first choice. The Samsung JU6500 doesn't offer the same colour range nor local dimming, which makes the JU6800 the real contender but around £80(?) more. The only place I could see that offers the 50 inch JU6800 with 5 years warranty was Curry's but their accidental damage cover costs are horrendous otherwise I'd be willing to bridge the gap.
The LG 680V doesn't offer the same colour range nor local dimming. The 850V is the same as the 680V but with 3D.
I think on paper the wider colour range and local dimming makes it sound good but to be honest need to see them in real life to see if it actually matters.
