Happened to one of mine, just installed a standard lamp switch and moved it to the other half's side of the bed

Trick with these is to avoid triggering sensor when changing bulb/moving lamp. If you disconnect from mains first, will last a lot longer. Holding on to the lamp for a significant amount of time will blow sensor!

Anyone know where you can get the unit which controls the touch system?
I have a couple of really nice touch lamps which have stopped working and is a shame to throw them out of I can get them fixed.
Tried all the usual places but nowhere seems to sell the control unit on its own.

For the price that it would be for the control unit just get these, I'm guessing it wouldn't be much difference in price.

I got one from Ebay. You have to be careful with a lot of them as they are only designed for 110v so won't work here. I just had a look in my Ebay history and the guy that I bought mine off still has them for sale. They're a bit more expensive than elsewhere but I can vouch for them working...
Just what I was needing and without me having to search. Many thanks

Amazon UK sell various lamp touch sensors that you can fit but they have their restrictions (bulb type, wattage) and I don't know how easy they are to fit.

These touch lamps never last very long, the touch function always fails.

My first set failed just inside 12 months, Argos replaced them. The second set have been going well for over 2 years now. I did notice the design had changed slightly from the first set. They are small but great for my needs, used daily.
