This is a good price for 2nd gen !!!(although I don't like the monopolized (sp) App)....
just as a comparison JL tried to sell me a 1st gen 2year product display unit for £289 saying that was a great price just before christmas?
and you still got mad people buying second hand 1st gens for £250+ with no warranty??? some people!!

I have the 1st gen Sonos 3 & 5 and can't see why it was put to £429 in the first place. Love my sonos but actually annoyed they haven't just added bluetooth technology alongside their wifi streaming powers but even then £429 seems over the top (to me).
Not rating hot or cold, just saying my piece

Why would you need Bluetooth when the app on any phone or tablet afaik does 'from this device' playback?

I have one of these and highly recommend them
Cracking bit of kit and exceptionally easy to setup.

I've paid between £200-250 for second hand ones and they've been completely error free. Don't knock second hand kit. I've been a Sonos owner for 5 years now and 75% are second hand (14 units) and never had a problem. Once you're past two years you're on your own anyway

Might be a good price but it's one ugly mother compared to its predecessor!.

You think? I find the 2nd gen better in all areas. Only negative I know of is the lack of headphone port, but few people use that anyway.

So how do you play youtube or say a playlist from a 3rd party software like poweramp.

Well ok, I was only considering playback of music on the device already - a Bluetooth receiver plugged into the Sonos unit via line in would effectively add Bluetooth support.
