No lags up to 1080p, struggling with 4K but still good piece of tech.
Can get Topcashback or Quidco too. TCB has already tracked for me...

Use Wifi Direct to create a direct link between the source and screen, removing the need for a local wired or wifi network.
Your Chromecast is for streaming data across a network. This adapter is more like a wireless HDMI connection.
Both have their pros and cons.

It does work with Windows 10, it was likely either your wireless adapter or graphics card that weren't compatible. Took me a while to get it working with my PC. In the end I had to enable the integrated Intel graphics to work alongside my AMD R270x so that the Intel integrated graphics could handle the wireless display (R270x didn't support it).

I tried the victsing adapter from Amazon and the lag was Terrible. My laptop does have a 4k screen but I changed the resolution to 1080. Given that I changed the resolution on laptop should this have resolved the lag issue? Should this work?

Tried on Dell XPS with 4K - no issues at all, but like i said it lags on 4K vid on youtube as example. For all office work - perfect tool!

seems to be able to do whatever a chromecast does (since it has miracast) plus has native windows support, so you can select it as if it were a 2nd screen. not for me as i've already discovered chromecast is inferior to an android stick/box plus my shield can stream games which this stick apparently cannot without lag, but seems a great buy for easy in-home streaming.
