Apps are limited? Ha, ha! There's got to be billions of windows .exe programs available.
This is a full windows operating system, runs anything a PC can (subject to hardware limitations). It even comes with a year of Office 365, the full blown productivity suite used by most businesses and educational establishments.
Apps are limited? What a joke.

Then you can also argue that an android tablet has no access to windows executables, steam games etc...

Yeh, it's limited to any computer program released in the last 20+ years.

I've just got one from the Cheltenham store. There are none on the shelves but the employee said there were 6 out the back, which is obviously now 5 thanks to me.

Main limitation is 1Gb RAM. Imagine a PC with 1Gb RAM.

Wow, got a bit excited there didn't you. There's probably an App for that, or a .exe

Apps are fairly limited, they are different to programs (exe's).

Ever tried to use a Windows app on an 8" tablet? It is not pretty....

I sense that you're...taking issue with the "apps are limited" comment. It's just a hunch....just some kind of reading between the lines thing I do...

When you consider the bolded part, those billions of apps suddenly become hundreds, or even 10's, running one by one, not multiple at once.

Good deal with the office subscription (primary reason I bought it at the time). I bought one last year. upgrading to windows 10 is a mistake though. I cant really use it now. constantly lags, freezes, crashes etc. Had same issue with the linx7 too. Ended up getting rid of them when I got an xbox one and replacing with with an 8" Bush tablet. Cost a tenner more than this but has 2 gig ram which really made a huge difference! Really wanted a reliable way to use the game streaming :P

Got to agree with that. If you buy one, don't upgrade - the whole experience is horrible and 8.1 is much better on these.

I did exactly the same!
That 8" Bush Tablet from Argos should have got a lot more heat on here.

Also seen at my local.
If you already have Office 365 you can extract the license key and either add to an existing subscription or sell
Great lil tablet, got it off eBay a while back on another deal but mine didn't have office. Smooth usable tablet, very functional, although admittedly an extra gb of RAM would go a long way

1. Set tablet mode as default
2. If you want to use the desktop, install touch mouse pointer http://www.lovesummertrue.com/touchmousepointer/en-us/
3. If you still aren't happy, increase the scaling to 125%
8" screen size is fine for Windows 10
