Sainsbury's have the lite version of Linx 10 with Windows 10 for £79.99 reduced from £159.99. Seems good but only has 16Gb of storage but has micro sd slot. Micro HDMI output. Quad core 1.83Ghz Atom Z3735F processor and 2Gb RAM. Also includes Word, Excel and PowerPoint mobile versions and One note.
Jefft - The Atom Z3735F is a 1.33GHz processor with burst speeds of 1.83GHz. It is not a 1.83GHz processor.

Largely irrelevant though, because for anyone to bring any meaning to that they'd need to understand clock speed in relation to CPU archictecture. The CPU speed quoted is meaningless without extensive CPU architecture comparison. It won't stop manufacturers quoting CPU speed, but it really is meaningless to the consumer and they're led by their assumption of what CPU speed means which unless they are knowledgeable in the field is a falsehood.
For example the fact that this CPU runs at 1.33GHz and Turbo boosts to 1.83GHz? What does that mean in relation to the expected performance for the consumer? Absolutely nothing as most have zero knowledge of the CPU architecture employed. So is this CPU at 1.33GHz faster or slower than a Netburst architecture CPU at 2.6GHz or a Core 2 Duo Architecture at 2GHz or Playstation 4 CPU at 1.6GHz? What about when it Turbo's to 1.83GHz?
CPU speed is meaningless unless you have the knowledge to compare it to other CPUs, but then I'd ask why are you even bothering, when there's other factors to consider.
Is a 2 Litre car produced in 2016 better than a 2 Litre car made in the 1970s? Impossible to answer without more information and irrelevant based on engine size, engines can have differing amount of cylinders and various other technologies, it's the engine power output that's useful to know.
CPU speed is irrelevant at face value and at best is a useless specification and serves only to mislead the consumer.

Not that you can notice anyway, but then I'm not trying to play battlefield 3 or bioshock infinite on it. I have installed a load of games from 10 years or so ago and they run great e.g. knights of the old republic even at full resolution (ipad ~2k) It's not a perfect tablet though and I really wouldn't want to reccomend it to anyone mainly because it is a gamble. I've seen lots of reports of people not being as lucky as me and theirs breaking or acting weird. I did have to update the bios attaching a otg hub keyboard + flashdrive. really not user friendly

You're right that's why you should check benchmarks to get a real world idea of what to expect. my x98 pro cost about £135 from gearbest (took a month to deliver!) and has a Z8500 cpu which is roughly 2x the speed of the cpu in this see here https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare.php?cmp[]=2326&cmp[]=2581
I'm guessing the tablet will work well enough for basic tasks. £80 seems about the right price.

hot from me for this.
was 80 pounds in staples last year. Now similar deal from Sainsburys after almost a year. A deal with better specs is required after such a long time. I know I am being greedy, but just got too many electronics stuff at home
