I had one, but it needed charging up - so I charged it in the car, but it flattened the car battery, so I used it to start the car. Brilliant.

You spout similar BS on Gearbest threads yet you continue to claim to buy from these companies..... why?
Why not learn from your "experience" and pop down to B&Q or Maplins for your electronics?????

Mate has a similar one, sorry don't know the make but its an absolute brilliant piece of kit. My 2.5 diesel voyager jumped off it no problem whatsoever.
Why all the haters?
He buys and sells cars and uses his all the time.

Lol at descrition
Fast charge 4-5 hours
Ideal for overtime workers wtf
This may start a car but will no doubt need charging straight away
I wouldn't depend my life on it
Bet it will struggle on a diesel
I bought a 50800 may off eBay for £30

I wouldn't let this anywhere near my motors. I also wouldn't jump start any car made in the last 5 years or so
Looks like a Chinese bodge it job

Start a car? I very much doubt it. At best it may provide just enough extra oomph to start a small engine with a weak battery.

Lack of knowledge regarding electrics, I would imagine - low voltage high amps. I wonder how many cycles you would get from one - not that you would expect to use it very often, but not too big so ideal for motorbike.

Probably more cycles than from an ALDI lead acid equipped jump start unit left in the garage for 2 years without use - stupidly I didn't keep charging the unit, so it died on me, if this works and there's no electronic reason why it won't, it's a brilliant idea.

I was doubtful at first, Bought a WUHAI 50080. Started one of my Mercedes petrol cars no problem, even without leads being attached to the battery. Also started a Motorhome with a 3 litre diesel engine that was flat. They do work. Remember to charge every 3 months. Had a Streetwize 5 in 1 in the past that was useless.

Amazing if true, starting a typical Diesel can use 600 Amps at 12V, which would mean this 8Ah battery discharging in about 1 second.
For that reason I call BS, but it could be it assists the car battery supplying say 20 extra Amps at 12V.
Perfectly viable and work very well - this could potentially start the vehicle you describe half a dozen times.
You are confusing/comparing ah with cca and these are not equivalent.

Always get a school kid to check your maths before posting
8/600 * 3600 = 48 seconds.
These small Lithium Ion jump packs can deliver a surprising amount of current, and there are plenty of demos on YouTube of them starting big engines. However whether this particular device is any good , or whether it's liable to burst into flames I wouldn't like to say.
