Don't mess about with that, just get them on eBay! The non-gen 18XL's are so cheap as it is...

These printers are absolute junk. I had one it wouldn't accept any 3rd party inks whatsoever, I think I must have printed no more than 50 pages over a 12 month period when it gave up the ghost completely. Second Epson printer in less than 3 years never again.

Indeed owned 2 reppacements in the past for a faulty one and they all had the same problem. If i left it for any short peroid of time the black ink wouldnt print and i ended up wasting multi ink cartridges on cleaning processes and even buying cleaning kits off ebay to clean the print head nozzle. Ended up binning them.
I've had an epson p315 that i bought in argos 2 years ago (of 50 quid i guess), but i guess for printing standard stuff as text, occasional photos it should be fine. Mine has developed a fault now and it makes weird lines on a print (only with colour images), so i print everything black and white. Might get this:) The best thing is that I bought like 12 inks on eBay for 6 pounds and that kept me going for the lifetime of the printer (I believe I still might have couple unopened colour ones somewhere in the drawer). I could recommend that if you're not obsessive about quality:)
Edit: Also same price on Amazon, I would rather order from them for better warranty and cs. I'm as cheap here
