They vary quite a lot so don't take anecdotal evidence from people who have bought only one as being significant.
Not likely to have dents these days but sometimes they are quite scratched or stained.

I would say it's not worth it, as it has the dual core i7 and for most users 16gig rams are not making significant improvement comparing to 8gb
