Buying a pink electric toothbrush at 5:30am. Only HUKD could sink me to such lows.

Are people completely thick or what? Why do people keep saying this sort of thing. Don't deride items that you know absolutely nothing about!
And don't compare one thing with something else completely different. Give me strength...

To be honest, I don't really like Pink items and it's a bit lame when items marketed to women are Pink and the price is bumped up. But it also means, as in this case, sometimes you find it in the bargain bin.
And don't forget, Pink was a Boy's colour in Victorian times :innocent: Yes, you can get mini brush heads too http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-Sonicare-HX6024-26-Results/dp/B00DE8V4NC
As for the comments about Dentists pooh-poohing Sonic brushes, I am surprised. A few years ago my dentist said "Whatever you're doing to your mouth, keep doing it"...I told him I regularly scrape my tongue, use sonic brushes and either no-alcohol or Listerine mouthwash (whatever's on offer at the time). No fillings for years apart from the ones that are deteriorating getting fixed.
This HealthyWhite (this will be my third of this model) has 31,000 sonic pulses/minute, same as the model down EasyClean HX6511/XX*, which is sometimes on offer for £25 or so, and the newer Healthywhite + HX8911 is also 31,000.
*The two digits after the model number refer to the brush supplied, either ProResults Standard, DiamondClean or Sensitive.
Also, don't forget to register your toothbrush on the Philips' website, so you're covered by the 2 year guarantee. Given that both my HealthyWhite brushes (same brush handle design as the pink) had a problem with the button after a year or so, you may need it!
Mine also has the Sensitive mode, but I must admit I never use it, so the HX6761 not having it isn't a problem. Always best to put it on the lowest setting at first as it can be a bit of a shock moving from manual brushing to sonic!
Edit: Oh, and another thing, use a little slick of Vaseline on the metal prong when putting on a new brush head - it creates a tighter seal but also makes it easier to remove (heard of some brush heads breaking off but there's no problems when you use a little Vaseline - my old Ultrasonex had it in the instructions, strangely the Sonicare doesn't mention this).
