These actually take a good bit of abuse. Bought one a while back & got 2 months of hard work out of it before I dropped it & broked the power switch.

Yes, you may get away with doing a reasonable area before it breaks or burns out, but you'll really need a raking disc though.......and plenty of dust masks

I got one of these over Christmas and it did what I needed it to do and came with one metal cutting disc. The switch is a bit 'iffy' and is quite difficult to switch on. From reviews this seems to be a recurring issue. I took out the extended warranty for £1.49 which gives cover for 3 years. it is not a serious bit of kit, but for a weekend diyer it comes in very handy. I have always found the Challenge range of tools good value for money and tougher than you would expect for the price.

True - the switch on these are iffy!! and dangerous too. Nothing worse than trying to switch them off and they won't. Irrespective of being cheap or good value for money it is not worth the damage they may cause! Threw mine away...

Would it be easy and safe to cut concrete fence posts with? If so, Any recommendations on well priced discs for the job? For what will be a DIY job this price is ideal for me

I used it to cut concrete gravel boards, had to buy some cutting discs from screwfix as the supplied ones aren't very good, did the job OK.
