The words 'Cabin Max Carry-on Backpack for Ryanair / Easyjet' is a very misleading because it implies that the bag is sized to the maximum for the airlines. It's guaranteed to fly with Easyjet & Ryannair only because it's well undersized compared to the companies allowable limits!
This bag is 50 x 40 x 20cm = 40 litres. That's is 5 litres short of Ryannairs 56 x 40 x 20cm = 45 litres, and a whopping 23 litres short of Easyjets 56 x 45 x 25cm = 63 litres limit.
The Trekbuddy is only 1 litre short of the ryannair limit at 55 x 40 x 20cm = 44litres.
Much depends on the actual measurements because some bags are labelled larger than they really are, many claiming 40cm wide when they are actually only 36cm.
I have a trekbuddy that's about 3 years old for £9.99 from home bargains. Between the family it's done 26 flights with no issues other than the lack of zips on the internal pockets. One benefit of the trekbuddy over the capital is that because the external pocket zips are straight across on the capital, it's difficult to put your documents in/out without damage when well packed, whilst the trekbuddys pocket is curved and will fold back making document access much easier.

The Trek Buddy I bought lasted 2 years heavy use and it's still looking good for its use.

I'm one of them lol. There is no real comparison imo. I've hammered a cabin max over the years and it's still going strong. Can't say the same about the 2 x Trek buddy which I bought enthusiastically and binned soon after - fell apart.

I have a cabin max bag, which I love, but was once charged as apparently it was too big for an Easyjet flight from Spain (Even though it was fine on the way out!) So just double check before you stuff it with holiday souvenirs!!
