Been having issues with my mondeo and though it might be time for a new car.
Was going to spend £1500 on a cheap runabout, but this looks a great deal (and yes not £1500 - but also no expenses in future)
2 yr deal, less than £1k down on some options.
Car has nav as standard too!
EDIT: £360 admin charge to be paid to broker on receipt of car.

Don't forget all Audi's come with the option of driving 2 inches behind the car in front as standard...

Ive never leased a car before, so this is new to me, but i figure if i went and spent £20k on a car, what would i expect to get back after 2 yrs - £15k perhaps?
i currently pay £250 a yr road tax (or similar) plus MOT's at £30 - that stops, so take £600 off the total rental cost say.
On top of this my current mondeo (which i do love!) gets about 25mpg round town, this should be a whole heap better (maybe 40mpg) - that works out roughly £900 a yr in fuel, so £1800 over the 2 yrs.
That represents £2400 saving over my current car, without including any costs that an aging car will potentially need. So all in its costing me £1k a yr (very rough figures here) to have a brand new car.

I agree with this OP,
Its worth sitting down for an hour with a notepad and paper. It can be a false illusion that getting a new car can save you money (of course if you want a new car, then it would be irrelevant anyway)
As topps pointed out - is your current Mondeo costing you £1700 a year in repairs/tax? I know the tyres on mondeos can be expensive (mine are 18" and cost around £150 each for decent ones).
Remember, this will be £1300 up front (the cost of a very large repair bill - new engine?) + £142 a month every month for 2 years (the cost of a service every month). But the upside is you will have a new car parked outside.

Ignoring the deal for a minute, it does seem an expensive option to a £1500 run-a-bout. Would you really expect £140+ of running costs pm?

Well I guess that depends on fuel and any work/services that it needs that could easily add up to that a month if you average it, depending on the car

Great deal and the cheapest around at the moment. But there have been lots of recent deals similar to this from other leasing companies that are now being pulled as the 'offer allocation' is dwindling. If you are interested in this I wouldn't hang around too long making a decision.

Fuel/Insurance - can't really include that in the £140. After all the brand new lease car also needs both of those on top of it's £142 pm.
Other than the above, I would be very surprised/disappointed if most £1500 cars cost almost £1700 in additional costs for a year, but I'm sure there are some.
I was only making the point in the context of the OP's comment.

The 142 you're paying a month for this does not include fuel so this is clearly more expensive.
Also you don't actually own the car, so there's that.
Also, if you buy clever for 1500 you can definitely get something that does not require an average of 140 a month worth of work on it.
Also, have you been able to tell I'm strongly against car leases.

Represents a bigger saving than that, I would be surprised if you got back £15 after two years in a £20k car - based on average mileage ...

Total is 4718 which is more like 196 per month. Doesnt seem like the great deal you are quoting at the start

If someone wants a used car, they should buy a used car.
However if someone wants to a new car, leasing can often be the most cost efficient method. As lease deals go this looks very good, assuming an Audi A4 is your kind of thing.

Indeed ... need something more practical as have a boxster as a runabout.

£360 processing fee too.
So more like £203.78 pm. Not such a good deal as first seems....
