Saw this being demonstrated at a Christmas market but didn't want to spend £15 on it... Glad I didn't now!
Gets great reviews and looked pretty great in action... £5 seems pretty good to me!

These are great BTW, just don't use £500 knives on them or the knife police will come knocking.

Prepare for lots of posts from knife snobs. I posted a deal for one of these a while ago and am still suffering sleepless nights.

I love mine. Cheapie knives and this sharpener works fantastically well together.

not this one again. to save everyone time, they all sort of work this one not as well as most, but the only way to sharpen a knife is to use a steel. that is why the chefs and butchers use them. I have a kitchen devil one and it works well, I checked them out when this one came on here a couple of years ago. A steel probably takes years to learn how to use, but one day I will probably get one. When you can use it you will look pretty talented as well.

a steel is for a different purpose it is to maintain the blade however it would not be aggressive enough to make a dull blade sharp this would be achieved by the use of stone's. this sharpener would replace the stones not the steel which should still be used regularly to maintain the blades sharpness.

this will help put an edge back on a knife , use a steel daily and this every couple of months

Strange use of the word 'snobs' I've seen this in many threads and most people who advise against using this sharpener only do so because it is so aggressive.
