OLED is the best thing since Panasonic Plasma.regular LED LCDs are just a waste of time.
I will wait until next year for prices to fall down further though.

"With an OLED TV like the LG 55EC930V, where else to start but to comment on its otherworldly, 0 cd/m2 blacks whose impact on even the most mundane of viewing cannot be overstated. When paired with 2.4 gamma (painstakingly attained through 20-point white balance tweaks), it lent a formidable scale of richness and depth to whatever was displayed on screen, eclipsing even the best plasmas."
" If you have £2,000 to spend, and absolutely have to buy a new TV at this time of writing, then the LG 55EC930V deserves a place on your audition shortlist."

I want to replace my Panasonic Plasma and only OLED matches it. However I have read to many issues with this one being an early model and will wait a bit yet for them to iron out the issues at the right price

You're getting a six year guarantee. Any potential problems you have will be fixed for free up until you buy your next TV. Pointless to wait for a newer model when it's likely to cost more anyway.

I've recently changed my panny plasma to the LG55EG910V and am very pleased with it! It looks ok with Sd but gorgeous with a good HD source like Blu or Xbox one! The blacks and colours really are a pleasure to behold! I've not noticed the issues either! I've watched a few snowy scenes and they are white not pink or green! No banding either! I've either been lucky or the issues are overstated! :stuck_out_tongue:

If you go from a panasonic plasma to anything but an OLED you no doubt will be disappointed.
Best thing to do imo. Is get a few more years out of the plasma and wait for oled tech to come down in price

That's the plan, most likely wait for the 2106 models with HDR to drop in price in around 18 months

I agree, the colour rendition, side angle viewing quality and black level/contrast in the OLED tv's is excellent, however it's limited to 1920x1080. If you are looking for a bigger resolution, brighter picture and a sharper image buy a 4K Tv.

I went from panasonic plasma to this tv and it is astonishing how good those blacks are.
OLED is the only genuine upgrade choice now.

Richer sounds are one of the only companies that doesn't have a depreciation clause in their warranty terms.

Has LG sorted out their problems with flashplayer yet? Nothing worse than not being to stream the likes of BT sport

Flash is going the way of the Dodo - Its all HTML 5 now. Facebook don't support it, Google don't support it. It wont be long and it will be history. This is the problem with smart TV's, how long will a manufacturer support older models, I'm thinking not long at all. 12 months maybe for firmware updates & then that will be it.
