The next massive sci-fi role-playing game from Monolith Soft, the creators of Baten Kaitos and Xenoblade Chronicles, comes exclusively to Wii U. A terrible intergalactic war leaves just a handful of Earth survivors trying to live in a beautiful yet hostile environment. Players engage in battles against powerful creatures of all forms and sizes using the deep battle system that builds on the triumphs of Xenoblade Chronicles for Wii.

This game alone can be overwhelming depending on how much you want to do. If you want to do every mission and find every thing there is to find in the game while taking your time to take it all in, it's more than 200 hours. Story with some side missions as you go takes around 80 hours.
The game doesn't provide information in a clear-cut way. There's a lot of items to find, places to visit and monsters to defeat which can be difficult since the game will hardly ever pinpoint the exact locations. So you'll need to remember things and write things down before you forget since you can't do everything as you go. Sometimes you'll have to leave something interesting for later just so you can get other things done.
There are guides now that tell you where everything is but in my opinion, that detracts from the experience of finding things yourself. Exploration and experimentation is the main aspect of this game. Though if you're stuck for too long on something, it's probably best to just use the guides.
Having said that, games like this only get released every 5 or so years. So if you think you'll enjoy it, I suggest you ignore all your other games and just play this from start to finish. I took 2 weeks off work to dedicate time to this and I'm still far from done. There's just so much to take in that you can feel lost when you're back in real life

Seems like a decent price, heat added. Really can't justify it at the moment, my backlog is already rather shameful.

Can't understand why the wii u has poor sales figures, everyone who owns one say it's their favourite console even when they own a ps4 or xbox, I've got my LO a wii u this Xmas (tbh think I'm more excited for it  )

I own 4 x of each consoles (for different rooms). The Wii U is the worst by far. Its only for Mario, Zelda and probaby this game. Otherwise it has nothing else. Thus it is massively a limited console and only for kids or true Nintendo fans.

I own a PS4 and a Wii U. The PS4 beats the Wii U hands down - only because it tends to have titles more in line with my tastes. The Wii U is great if you're into Nintendo games, but without third-party support, the console itself has limited appeal as a consequence.

As the price would appear to be rising elsewhere, I feel this is a good time to bite! Thanks OP
