Moto X Play Dual Sim version from Amazon.Fr
Appears to cover all bands used in the UK.
Use Google Chrome browser to easily translate the pages, currently at 313.41 Euros which at the moment is £228.70 plus any charge your card/bank may add for buying in euro. Not sure if you can get free delivery but seems likely you'll pay about 5euros for delivery ish.
I'm almost ready to hit the buy button, looks very tempting and around the same price as the UK single sim version.
There is a 50Euro cashback but I think that only those in France can apply, unless someone else knows different?

Well I went and did it, easy to buy on Amazon.fr - just used Chrome translate, signed in as my usual UK Amazon account and bought it easily. There didn't seem to be a free delivery option but delivery was either 5 euros or 11euro for fastest delivery. Now to find a decent case.
I got this to replace my Moto G 2nd Gen Dual Sim that although works quite well, does sometimes struggle a little bit performance wise, I use mine for work SIM and home SIM so it gets a fair use and hope this slightly upgraded Moto X Play will be a better work tool.

I can really recommend the tudia cases - have one on my 2nd gen Moto G, and bought a new one for my single sim X Play that I'm getting at Xmas.

I'm sorely tempted by this, going to hold off now until after xmas though but it does tick the boxes though the screen does seem huge!

Yes, I wonder how I'll cope with the bigger screen, I already find my 5" Moto G is a bit tricky one handed, especially as I have the official flip case. But I use mine for work a lot so hope this will be just that bit better for emails, web, documents plus I hope call quality will sound better than my dual SIM Moto G which has never been great - it has annoying background hiss/pops/electrical noises when in a call, I'm sure it's the dual sim facility that is causing this, no other phone I've had has been like that... I hope this Moto X Play dual sim is better.

Can I ask did you actually pay amazon in sterling or euros and what was the total including shipping ?

In the end I chose to pay in euro's as I'd read that Amazon's sterling payment option could cost more than what my credit card charges. I paid for expedited delivery (fastest delivery was Tues 22nd) for about 11 euro's or for 5 euros they'd deliver 23/24th Dec.

I bit recently on the black Friday Amazon deal. Really good phone and impressed with the screen quality despite not being quad HD. It does not feel too big in your hand & once you used to a large screen you wont go back to anything smaller. The battery lasts a long time too.
Well worth getting.

Mine should arrive Tuesday, I've ordered a Moto flip case at £18.50 from Amazon UK and an SLine TPU case for £2 - with my Moto G I have the official flip case for screen protection and an SLine tpu for rear/side/corner protection - by slightly cutting the left edge off the S Line case it fits along with the Moto Flip cover (The official flip case replaces the standard back cover and thus does not add any additional bulk) and so allows a rubber case to be fitted, once you've cut the left edge off it, to allow the hinge to work, add some double sided tape to keep it all together and voila, or wallah as idiots would say.
Best protection I can make for my often dropped/knocked work phone and not any bulkier than an S Line case and a 2mm flip cover. Sounds like a bodge, works like a dream.

The flip cases are quite stylish and the auto-on's a nice feature but actually I don't see much reason to cover the screen if it has gorilla glass 3. I like a slim line case that is a mm or so higher than the screen and the screen ready for me without flipping, I can't really get on with the flap flapping around while you're using the phone. Different strokes for different folks and all that

The lack of a gyroscope annoys me. Otherwise a decent phone, even is Lenovo not as quick with the updates as Google used to be.

And me too though I've never ever used it in my previous phones, so I don't know why!

What is it needed for and does the Moto G 1st/2nd gen have one? (if not, then it won't affect me as I've not needed it so far!)
