This is a dashcam for people who like to fiddle about with things. It's very small indeed, only slightly bigger than a packet of Tictacs. There are many fake Mobius cams being sold on ebay so you're best to stick with a reliable vendor such as Banggood.
1. It is preferable to have a very small camera that will not be too noticeable from outside. If you have to keep removing it when you leave the car you'll not use it.
2. Park mode is probably not as useful as you would think and can drain your car battery.
3. Dashcam batteries may not last long due to the constant charging & recharging and exposure to excess heat in the car. A dashcam with a super capacitor instead of a battery is a much better idea.
4. Wifi on a dashcam is a useless gimmick.
5. GPS on a dashcam is a double-edged sword - it's maybe a nice feature to have but if your footage shows your insurance company you were doing 32mph in a 30mph zone it'll all be your fault in their eyes.
Jeez postmen delivered at 8am this morning
That is super quick delivery from there European warehouse..Wow
Just running through a few of the settings, this thing is so easy to update and setup, almost like your being spoonfed..
All done updated to latest firmware and by luck happened to find an old class 4 Kingston 32GB micro SD card in my camera bag, works a treat, image quality is brilliant and the transition when going from light to dark areas is almost seamless, must be a good sensor in this little camera..
Just waiting for the hardwire kit and mount from the other thread now!

I paid about this for my current camera, which records location and speed (using GPS) on the video footage.

Can you link us to your camera? Mobius records in Full HD 1080p with 30fps or 720p at 60fps and has quite good video quality in low light conditions.
GPS seems like a pointless thing to me on a dashcam.

Dead easy! Plug it into USB on computer and the mobius software is all check boxes that when you hover you mouse over them gives you an explanation of what each one does.

The deal was on some time ago, not available any more. Video quality is certainly important, but a GPS function is not pointless. As I say, it records your speed and map coordinates on the video (text on the bottom of the screen), which is a very useful addition to the video footage should you need to use it in evidence. Using the application that came with my camera, when I view the videos on my computer it shows me my position and progress on a map as the video plays. I have another cheaper dash camera without this feature that I use in my other car. It has good pictures but is missing the GPS info so you cannot accompany your visuals with evidence about where you were and how fast you were going.

They can break just like any cheap, or even not cheap, electronics but this is for another car
Thing with these is with a bit of care they are very discreet to install, very good day and night video quality and cheap enough not to worry about leaving in the car.
They should be a fit and forget item but there when you really need it.

This is a dashcam for people who like to fiddle about with things. It's very small indeed, only slightly bigger than a packet of Tictacs. There are many fake Mobius cams being sold on ebay so you're best to stick with a reliable vendor such as Banggood.
For anyone looking to buy a dashcam I recommend watching Techmoan's excellent reviews on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFB79814F24001328 - especially the "Beginners Guide to Dashcams".
After a lot of research I decided:
There is a handy Windows setup utility
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=25178932&postcount=6 to adjust the settings.
You can also use their Android app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=therau2000.amcamobiusac to do the same, all you need is a 99p OTG cable and you can set it up with your phone or tablet.
The Dashcamtalk forum
https://dashcamtalk.com/forum/threads/mobius-support-thread-and-tech-guide-post-all-problems-help-requests-here-read-posts-1-8-first.4232/ is an excellent source of help & support.
You will need a few other bits & pieces to use it as a dashcam:
Windscreen mount 99p

Hardwire Car Charger Power Cable Kit £2.59

Add A Circuit adapter 99p (if you want to hard wire it)

Cable clamps 99p

Super capacitor to replace battery (optional but desirable) £6.62 on the banggood website but £3.97 using their app.

And finally, here is a guide to hard wiring your new dashcam https://dashcamtalk.com/forum/threads/easy-method-to-hardwire-any-dashcam-no-experience-required.7712/, it's not as scary as you might think.
