1 Month SIM Only Rolling Contract
All that for ONLY £10 per month
No credit check
If you’ve been turned down for credit or you’re a freelance worker with an irregular income or self-employed, you can still get a SIM only deal with LIFE Mobile.
Pay weekly if you prefer
Monthly payments don’t work for you? You can set up a weekly or fortnightly recurring payment from your debit or credit card instead.
Smart Cap means no nasty surprises
So you don’t get unexpectedly high bills, all LIFE Mobile plans offer a £5 “buffer” that limits what you’ll pay for usage that’s above your regular monthly allowance. The buffer can be reduced to £1 or increased to £30 whenever you like. LIFE Mobile uses EE's 3G network, which offers the widest coverage of any UK carrier.

Better to provide reasonable 3G than to provide sub standard 4G

Actually seems like a sensible arrangement for the money. No idea of CS quality, and presumably no 4G. Anyone seen Life's KFI? Is it reasonable?

No 4G I am afraid and they piggyback on EE's network, so for the price it is great.

All to often I struggle with these acronyms. What is "CS" and "KFI"?

Went for the Uswitch £6 month deal recently (1500 mins, u/l texts1 gb data) for family member. Had a few problems getting number ported across - seems EE had some technical issues - so it took a week. However Customer Support (which answered calls within a few seconds each time...rather than the usual 10 mins plus with other providers) were very friendly, genuinely tried to be helpful and even called back when issue resolved to check we were now OK. Also gave two months free credit for inconvenience so I would give them good marks for CS. Service is good as well (although obviously just 3G not 4G but as it is used in a Galaxy S2 that's not an issue). The cap on chargeable use outside of contracted package is also very useful (given user managed to spend over £350 on Candy Crush in one week in the past!).
However if you want a good 4g package and are prepared to have 12 month contract and claim cash back then Vodafone sim currently on mobiles.co.uk (u/l mins & text , 2gb data) for a net £5.50 a month is excellent (have never had a problem with cash back from mobiles.co.uk and despite what others say I find Vodafone service good)

You're right. The vodafone deal is a good one even though it was voted cold on this site. It was even £4.50 a month net from e2save until a few weeks ago.

I just ported my number across today was really surprised they answered both of my calls within the first ring. Just did a 3G speedtest which had me close to 9mb download, if the service remains - I'm staying with these guys.

Try signing up it seems the credit/debit card verification for the first months payment is not working.

I had that issue with a pre-paid Mastercard. It worked OK with a Visa Debit card.
