The EU law on consumer goods states that items must carry a two year warranty. We are still in the EU. Where it states items have a 1 years manufacturers warranty this is true as it does but you have a longer guarantee automatically in law. Remember your contract is not with the manufacturers, it is with the retailer. If you have an issue with the phone you contact the retailer. They cannot fob you off. In year one to two if you have a problem with the phone email the supplier. Don't ring them. List the purchase date, list the problem or problems and quote the relevant lines from the EU law. Just google it, copy and paste it into your email and state that you wish to make a claim in accordance with the EU law for consumer goods.
Remember also that under UK law you can claim some compensation up to 6 years on certain items but don't expect them to repair your phone if you don't take good care of it. If it looks like it has been dropped then a fault could be put down to mis-use.

I can't believe it. Paid £299.99 last week for this as a Christmas prezzie. Do they 'do an Amazon' and refund the difference if you complain? Technically I suppose I could return under distance selling regulations and re-order at this price.

I did the same but really can't be bothered with all the hassle posting back over Christmas and waiting ages for post to get there. Plus the last time I had a refund from ebuyer it took 3 weeks to get back into my account. I still think £300 was an excellent price for this phone so I think I will just suck it up this time.

Great find. Hot  Anyone know how to prompt amazon to price match? It would be even sweeter.

What is the warranty on this? Is it only a year? (My last 2 phones had 2 year warranties - Samsung/Nexus)
