Offering the Ultra HD 4k resolution for stunning viewing, the LG 49UF680V Smart Ultra HD 4k 49" LED TV delivers high quality entertainment. It includes built-in WiFi to make connecting to the internet a breeze.
Ultra HD 4k resolution
The 49UF680V boasts the Ultra HD 4k resolution that packs an impressive 8.3 million pixel onto its 49" screen. This provides you with the best possible detail - up to four times the resolution of Full HD.
The IPS technology means that everyone gets a great view of the screen, wherever they're sitting. It delivers stunning true colour from any angle, so you can enjoy all of your content.
It also includes a 4k upscaler that converts lower resolution entertainment to near 4k standard. It uses a six-step image processing technology to upgrade the images, so you can enjoy everything in high detail.
Smarter viewing
The LG webOS Smart TV platform means that you can enjoy the best internet content on the 49UF680. It provides a whole new way to watch entertainment.
The webOS platform is easy to use, so you can enjoy simple and intuitive use. Enjoy catch up TV from BBC iPlayer or movie streaming, browse the internet from your sofa or choose from a range of apps.
I'm biased towards LG but only because I have 3 now with no issues' great connectivity located on the side ( not the back ) more so for usb not so much HDMI or scart' optical audio is important too if you intend to add a decent soundbar etc.
Nothing wrong with Phillips in my experience either but they've fell well behind with televisions of late which isn't a good sign ( playing catch up )
Connectivity / location of connections are the things I look out for ( apart from the usual specs ) - hope this helps.

Not a 'smart' TV. You need extra like Riki or Amazon stick
