From what I remember, the first number is the viscosity once warmed up and the second when cold.
Lower numbers means it warms up quicker, but too low and it will get past seals meant to prevent that; not good for your engine/turbo.
Just use what your manufacturer recommends.

4 litre is a bit pointless, most cars require 5 litres for a full change.

No the first number is the viscosity when cold the second is the equivalent oil viscosity when hot. The aim is that the viscosity remains the same at all engine temperatures. Nothing to do with how quickly it warms up.
