Normally get Campo Viejo Rioja due to liking it muchly, so I hope it compares favourably.

I'm not trying to pass as a wine connoisseur, but if you like rioja which has quite a distinctive taste, this is nothing like one.
Château neuf, are generally very nice, with even the cheaper end still being drinkable, but scholars maintain that you usually you have to spend £20ish for a good one.
