Probably a wild goose chase, but I'll be checking my local HMV tomorrow none the less. £20 (or under) was always my biting point for this game.

I really want to try it but think I'll be terrible at it.

I went in having never touched Souls before and got slaughtered relentlessly for about 5 hours. There's a clear moment when it clicks though. It's a stunning piece of software

You will be terrible and it will relentlessly punish you for it. But when you power through it and beat your first boss it's so satisfying.

Great price for a fantastic game, though with it being instore only price it may only be worth it if you're actually passing an HMV any time soon. Hopefully the GOTY edition will drop in price soon.

Nice deal. Did you buy it FD?
@Paul. The difficulty is overstated imo BUT as with the Souls games the first few hours are some of the hardest so if you do buy then don't give up.

Couldn't agree more. Even when you start playing, there will be a point where you think it's been a bad purchase, due to the difficulty, but persevere and you'll get to the point where it all becomes achievable....until you start the new DLC, ouch :disappointed:

I've heard the Old Hunters is absolutely brutal, I do have my first save still lagging at the very end of the game while I clear out chalice dungeons so I'm tempted to do a run with that first.
