Couldn't agree more. Even when you start playing, there will be a point where you think it's been a bad purchase, due to the difficulty, but persevere and you'll get to the point where it all becomes achievable....until you start the new DLC, ouch :disappointed:

I've heard the Old Hunters is absolutely brutal, I do have my first save still lagging at the very end of the game while I clear out chalice dungeons so I'm tempted to do a run with that first.

Liking the look of this game. Is it hard, as in old school gaming hard, minimal lives, no continues etc, or just frustratingly unbalanced?

It is brutal compared to the main game. I am on NG+ playing through the DLC and finding there are things that can 2/3 hit kill you. The bosses have been very tough so far! I have a high level character but maybe not the best at these types of game.

I only popped in, queue was huge. To say hmv don't have the best prices most of the time they are always packed at the tills.

It's not difficult when you know how. Having never played a Souls game before I found myself struggling through the first half of my first play-through, improving in the second half and then breezing through the second full run, barely if ever getting hit never mind dying. Honestly there's only one boss I'd deem really cheap or unfair.

Great price if you just want the base game , but as it's probably gonna be pretty hard to find any copies and the dlc cost an extra £15 I would think if you have waited this long then it wouldn't hurt to wait a few more weeks and the goty (with the £15 dlc) will Probably be available for £35

Just seen this at Swansea hmv. Can confirm £19.99 at least 4 on shelf.

I imagine this will come down because of the newer version, giving it heat though.

​That spider boss on the lake was where I decided to give up and sell it on.
The game had its tough moments, but that boss felt like I was being cheated and forced to go online and wait through a bunch of bad players to find one good one to progress further.

Gave up after a few days of trying. Shame really, was a good game up till that point.

Haha , i was stuck on vacous rom the spider , took me 4 hours till i beat him !

My first play through I beat him first time. No idea how, but the spiders just didn't attack me. My NG+, he was a right b**ch.

i saw it 2 days ago in uxbridge store at same price, i did not buy because this game not my cup of tea.

yep as I said "if you want just the base game" it's a good price . But for the dlc and the game this would work out at £35 which I think the goty edition will be available for after xmas (you can already buy the Japanese version off play Asia for less than this +dlc), so for me it isn't really worth traveling around stores that might not have stock or might not have the offer , especially this close to xmas when shopping is a nightmare unless you want it as a present
No marketing just saying considering the dlc is so expensive (although worth it imo) this isn't such a great offer if your buying the dlc

Checked Westfield Stratford - no sign of the game. They only have a selection of about 15 different PS4 games.

Give Demons Souls a try. This and that are the best 2 in the series IMO.

Fantasydeals is an apt name buddy. None in Leeds. Been ages since in HMV and they hardly have any games. Excellent prices though- Star Wars 49.99, Fallout 47.99, GTA V 47.99, Assassins Creed Syndicate 47.99. You get the idea, strewth- who shops here!

You should've had a look online for co-op folk to help, rather than summoning ransoms. I found a boss ridiculously difficult on NG+ and was able to find someone who helped me beat them- then we went on to destroy 3/4 others.

​The system wasn't straight forward sadly. But I've always been wanting to get back into the game sometime. Will wait till its around £10-15.
