Price now gone up.
Not really such a deal anymore.
Been looking for a good price on the Sapphire version of this card, but Goggle popped up this one instead.
seems about the best price for this version
Only just spotted this so am prepared to get chilly if I'm wrong

Hmmm...I think CCL are reading these comments :stuck_out_tongue:
Just had a call to say it has been rebuilt today and they have replaced the Asus 970 with a Palit 970 so all the ports are accessible. They have confirmed it has been stress tested and all ok so should be no issues. Strange that I called at lunchtime and was told it had not been started and they were looking at tomorrow due to workload.
Anyway I will let you know tomorrow how it all looks.
I am unfamiliar with the brand swap of graphics card but hopefully it will be ok.
Thanks for all your help.

Very good price. Expecially for ASUS.
I could only find one 380X cheaper from ocuk but it requires free delivery (which I get :sunglasses:)

this is a powerful card, and the price/performance against nvidia is 3 fold....

I'm not sure how you figure?
For anyone considering this card, please make sure your processor can handle the CPU overhead.
If you have an older CPU (not i5 or i7), you may want to be cautious with the 380x.

The last Nvidia card I had was an 9900GT then switched sides. I have not had any reliability issues in all them years.

i think counting to 3.5 and adding 0.5 is a slighty more complex operation than just counting to 4

Seems a 4GB 390 is coming, so this may be closer to a new RRP...
The stats look better - 6000MHz GDDR5, 1040MHz GPU for the Sapphire compared to 5700 MHz GDDR5, 990 MHz GPU for the ASUS, but I don't know how much difference that makes.

Can anyone advise on whether it would be worth the extra £15 to get this:
