This is a great trip, one I'm tempted to book myself. April is a great time of year to visit too. You'll spend 1 night in Oslo, 4 nights in San Francisco, 4 in Las Vegas and 6 nights in Los Angeles for just £929.09pp. This includes all flights (WITH LUGGAGE), the resort fee in Las Vegas and SUV rental in Los Angeles. There are ways to make it cheaper such as staying in different hotels or Airbnb, this is an example. I've chosen some great rated hotels based on reviews so you can be certain you'll be staying in good places. Prices based on 2 sharing.
4th April 2016
You’ll fly from London to Oslo Rygge with Ryanair (this price includes hold luggage with Ryanair). You can catch the bus for 150 NOK pp which will take you to the city station. Your hotel is nearby, the City Box in Oslo which is convenient for your day of sightseeing. Of course, you could always take a flight to Oslo on 2nd or 3rd if you wanted to extend your time in Oslo. For things to do on a budget see the link in #4 for how to do Oslo on the cheap.
5th April 2016 – 9th April (4 nights in San Francisco)
You’ll fly to San Francisco today. Your flight goes via London but you can’t miss this flight, you have to go back via London. Flights are with British Airways. Arriving in San Francisco you can either catch public transport or hire a car to explore. As San Francisco has good public transport, I’ve not included car hire. You will stay in San Fran for 4 nights at the La Luna Hotel which has good reviews on Tripadvisor and is ideally located for public transport.
9th April – 13th April (4 nights in Las Vegas)
You will fly with Jet Blue (luggage included) to Las Vegas. I’ve chosen the Excalibur hotel as there is some great rates on there at the moment. The price includes the resort fee (which you will pay on arrival at the hotel). There are much cheaper options in Vegas such as Circus Circus or Stratosphere. You can adjust your hotel to suit.
13th – 19th April (6 nights in LA)
You will fly with Delta to LA today (luggage included). I’ve included SUV hire for LA as you are then free to go further afield and explore LA. Rather than a little car I went for the SUV to make sure you can fit in all your luggage and potential shopping! This is only a little more expensive than a little Hyundai, so well worth it. You’ll stay at the Good Nite Inn Sylmar which has parking and positive reviews praising the location.
19th April 2016
You will fly from LA back to San Francisco with Delta, where you will need to get your luggage and recheck in for your flight back to London with British Airways.
20th April 2016
Your flight arrives back into London.
21st April 2016 (optional)
Your flight leaves London to go back to Oslo, but I guess many people won’t want to take this flight! Never tell the airline you have no intention of doing this. If you want to take the flight back to Oslo, just book a return rather than these multi flight flights.
**To book the flights on Budget Air you will need to search for a multi-flight trip, first leg Oslo-SFO, then SFO-LON, then LON-OSL**
*Breakdown*
2 x Flights from London too Oslo Rygge (£97.98) @ Ryanair
You won't have any cash left after the night in Oslo

You have the hotel and transportation to and from the airport, it's only food you need and touristy type things. Failing that pack some pot noodles and monster munch :stuck_out_tongue::laughing:
I'm not much of a driver - what sort of price is an internal flight Vegas-LA, versus renting an SUV?

The SUV is only for the 6 days in LA so you could explore LA and further afield. This includes a flight from Vegas to LA. You don't have to hire the SUV in LA though, I guess you could just use public transport to get about.

Try mega bus, I got LA to San Fran in march for $10.
To be honest they have had some bad reviews, as have most online travel agents. I used them today with the code they currently have for £15 off any flight from the UK and my Icelandair tickets came within 5 minutes. I have also used them a few times in the past.

I haven't seen a single company I know of get more than 2/10 on Trustpilot. Apparently it's just a place to vent when companies get stuff wrong.

Strangely enough, there is ANOTHER Trustpilot review of BudgetAir.CO.UK (not .com which is quite GOOD!
