Had both standard and top of the range free range ones, both were excellent.

Yep, had lidl's top end free range turkey year before and aldi's standard fresh turkey last year because our Lidl ran out. The Lidl one was the best I've ever eaten tbh and from what I could tell, at least half the price and bigger than the equivalent at Sainsburys.

I shop at Aldi all the time as it's my local supermarket. The meat is better than at the other supermarkets and much cheaper. If your buying your veg their just to warn you it's good and much cheaper than anywhere else but only lasts a few days so bare that in mind when doing your shop leave the veg oh and bread for as close to the big day as possible. Your sometime limited on choices with cupboard items like tinned stuff but their Brand corale Is just the same as Heinz along with their tomato sauce. Their frozen fruit/deserts are really nice as well. They do a really good range of dairy & continental meats & have been getting more Christmas specials in over the last few weeks well worth buying.
I hope I've helped you a bit on your Christmas shop at your aldi hope you have a good one and return for more shops.
Also if you want to plan a shopping list in advance as it might be a bit busy when in the store on your day of shop try using the mysupermarket.com app this compares quite a few places now and shows you what aldi actually sell as they only show their special buys on their own site. Its not 100% accurate as it never has the super 6 or meat offer prices right so refer to aldis own site for that and you'll see more products in-store than on the app. Apart from that it's ok for a little browse before you get to the shop.

No vouchers this year? I suppose they've been too successful, my local is always packed.

I think it's because they are now successful they don't need to do the monthly or Christmas voucher. I don't shop there anymore as the veg was rotten 2 days after buying plus Lidl still do vouchers so shop there instead
