not just the 'illegal' downloads but also every free app and service and some of the paid ones
you'll be surprised how hard it is to find a box that plays netflix, iplayer, youtube, 4OD and so on all on one box. and sky go - the only way you can get footy matches on the big screen is via a PC/MAC rather than iPad or chromecast etc
this also lets you play local video (e.g. from your phone/camera, or rips you've made of your own DVDs), and music too (spotify, your own mp3s)
whatever your niche, it'll most likely be easier through this (streaming football matches....)
basically, it plugs in to the TV and is far more versatile than a dedicated TV box/device (like the nexus player or roku or apple TV). it's a full computer and you can even browse the web on the big TV
the remote is a good touch for this particular model, made for the living room

Can someone advise me if this would be OK as an upgrade for a revo r3610. Just for my dad's office work. Thanks

Under distance selling rules you can return anything to any online retailer within 14 days of receipt. You might have to pay postage though.
