Wondered into my local Home Bargains and found one of their star buys is 500ml of Coconut Oil for £3.99.
Seems like a good deal to me.

isn't most "100% coconut oil" worse than hydrogenated fats? it's all a myth and unless you buy a very specific Virgin oil it's terrible for you?

You may be right but I know a lot of people use it and it can be very expensive.

If it is then you don't need to use it for cooking, it's excellent for the hair and skin as well.

No, but kinda right.
Refined coconut oil is usually done with hexane which is bad.
But cold pressed, centrifugal is great as it preserves the benefits.
Ktc are the only non virgin that I know of that don't use hexane but virgin is amazing stuff.
I use it alot in cooking and I even use this one here and the taste and benefits are great.
Hair, nails, skin, pulling and cooking.
The fat is healthy for you and this is amazing added to coffee with grass fed butter.
Just remember if cooking do not burn it as the smoke is something that will harm you.
This is the one I use and would always go to. Tend to buy it from Holland and Barrett in their sales got two for 15 last time round

virgin is by far the best as its only allowed that label if its the first press of the pulp.
cold pressed is the rest of that pulp but still contains most of the benefits
then you have refined which most of time uses hexane and it kills alot of the good stuff, the only exception i know is KTC who say they dont use hexane and there oil is only lightly refined but insist they use NO CHEMICALS.
just dont burn the oil when cooking as i said above.
for skin though you can get a decent moisture cream and mix this virgin with it and make your own cream.
it works really well on feet and nails and i use it on my hair every so often.
loads of recipes on net for its uses.
