Yes gluke21 as what happens in todays world of CORPORATE GREED just about ALL the big names that were household names and once famous for their quality are making even bigger profits by not actually making anything themselves.
The great excuse they all make is "getting items made from low wage countries keeps prices down" well YES it keeps prices down but only for the company that buys stick on name badges and NOT for the end user.
Most probably the "same" Tv can be bought with a different "sticker" on the front even CHEAPER.
When I tried to complain about a JVC Tv in 2013 their response was that they were having so many people contact them it could take 2 WEEKS before they could respond.
They also said "Your TV is a model that was directly imported by Comet and sold by them under an exclusive Sales and Service agreement. They are responsible for all support on these products. JVC Europe originally had no service or support information or spare parts for these models"
I would never buy JVC again after buying a JVC digital video camera with a battery that only lasted about 10 minutes and when I complained they more or less said to buy a bigger capacity one that was more than half the price of the camera. A total rip off greedy company in my eyes.

The sales person hinted to me the other week that JVC were no longer a premium brand and were one of Currys / PC Worlds own brands. Sales person guided me away from the JVC to another household brand

I'm sure her did and I wonder why, $$$£££! Doing a bit of your own research normally helps. At least you left a happy salesman behind. :stuck_out_tongue:
