Black Friday offer 1000 mins + Unlimited Texts + 3GB data at £5.50pm x 12 = £66 which is pretty damn cheap.
Also possible £45 Quidco which is potentially looking at £21 for a 12 month SIMO contract

Don't go for Talktalk Mobile - they can't cap the data usage and would cost 20p per 1Mb extra - worst of all when one goes over the credit limit - they will stop all calls, sms and data usage on all mobile plans in your account - unless you pay the extra charges using a credit card and even then you have to make sure to keep data off on your mobile phone - they don't have the facility. I am waiting for my contract to end and would leave asap.
Also they were recently hacked and lost good number of account/personal details.

I have been with Talk Talk for several years. The customer service is appalling and the call centers are incredibly frustrating and misleading (rarely do what they promise or you ask them to) every time I have cause to call them I swear that I will not renew my contract. However they are by far the cheapest when you take into account the broadband and mobile offers they churn out. I have 5 sim only contracts and the only one I was able to get any cashback on was the first one. Since then, when applying online via topcashback or quidco I get blocked with a message asking me to call to complete my order (therefore making the cashback ineligible) you can try to explain this until your blue in the face to the call centres but with no possibility of an ounce of recognition from them. Keep an eye on your data limit too as they do not tell you when you are close to it or over it (despite them insisting that they do!) and you just get a nasty shock in the form of a large bill. Mobile coverage is reasonable but not fantastic. Cheap yes, but go into it with your eyes wide open and be prepared to spend a lot of time speaking to a foreign call centre if you have any sort of issue, with little hope of resolution on the first time of asking!

Fair point, however I don't think the free mobile sim they will offer us will have a great amount of allowances. maybe 300 mins, unlimited text & 300MB Data.

I am an existing TalkTalk Broad Band Customer. Last year I also tool Mobile Phone Contract with TalkTalk, with 50% discount for the first year. My current mobile phone contract promotional discount will end by the end of December. I am planning to take the new contract as shown in this advert. Doing this I am hoping, I could get this new deal again. I will be doing the following:
- As soon as the new contacts has been approved and started. I will call them and/or use online chatting.to port my number which is currently under the old contract to the new one.
- If the number has been ported I will cancel my old contact.
Does anyone know if there is problem of doing this?
Has anyone tried it and therefore can share his/her experience?
Thanks

26 Nov 151#35
I can share my experience. Identical position to you last November & this November. My 50% discount was about to expire, so I contacted them with the deal that they had on their website. They just transferred me across without any problem (call centre in South Africa). Last month when the same happened, they didnt have any decent deals but my discount was about to expire, so not only did they apply another discount, they tripled my call allowance & quadrupled my data!
But I qualify that by saying its a crap network, piggy backing off crappy Vodafone, and I rarely get decent net coverage anywhere & even worse phone coverage!! But it's CHEAP & I accept that as a trade off.
But I wouldnt pay more than the £3.95/month that I have done for last 3 years

Hi,
I have 5 sim cards with TalkTalk mobile all of various allowances and ending at different times of the year. 2 of them have low data allowances but expire next Sept/Oct so I thought I'd try my luck in upgrading them even though normally they say you have to be within 30 days of the contracts end.
Spoke to 'Mohamed' in their South Africa Loyalty Call Centre who told me he can't upgrade the current sims (they had had a memo from the UK saying not to do this) but instead Ihad to order the new 'Black Friday' sims online and when the new sim cards arrive call them back and the current numbers will be ported over to the new sims and the previous contract/tariffs cancelled.

Thanks for this useful info. My personal experience with TalkTalk especially with their call centre CS is that their information is often unreliable. Unless you speak directly to their managers, or you get it in writing in which you could refer it later when you need it.
It seems that we have the same way of thoguht in getting the best possible option If we could get this new contract, + Quidco of £45 (or £70? literally we will only pay (£5.50x12) - £45= £21 for twelve month equate to £1.75 per month for 1000 mins / unlimited texts / 3GB Data contract … It is a cracking deal …
We could repeat the same process again next year, subscribe to a new contract with cashback and then port it again and cancel the old one.
Other members who have done that would you please share your experience, I will share my experience once I have got it for the benefit of all members. Thanks

BEWARE ! they make their profit on this by massively overcharging if you go over your data limit. I they charged me over £400 for going over my limit by just 30 mins, their suggested £15 limit which was supposed to be the break is meaningless as they claim they only know 24hrs after the event hence cannot stop your connection

Spoke to CS and they made an offer of an additional 2000 mins, already have unlimited texts and additional 2GB data for £4 per month each - checked account and it was made effective this morning. Connectivity is good as we live in a large town. Enjoy the free calls between the home and TT network and using the Talk2 go app for making calls abroad from the mobile ( have signed up to international boost on landline). Planning to sign up for new sims (do want the Quidco / TCB) and ask for similar allowances as offered on the old sims. Customer service - usually not had a problem - one has to be patient and make some compromises but can't complain at this price.

I dont know what people's problem with talktalk is? (apart from the recent hack). Was with them for 18 months, the fibre was spot on (solid 38mb), the phone line went down once and was fixed with in two hours of calling them.
With the 10% speedy payment discount it was even better.
Only swapped to sky because it was an insane offer (half price phone and broadband, £100 credit and a £50 M&S voucher making the whole year free in a 12 month contract) and their broadband has been a bit ropey.
Now add this sim and its brilliant.
Maybe its because I'm a IT guy and never actually had to ring their support line.

Amazing how everyone sl*g this company off. They offer a good deal and they all go running back.
I'm glad i got out when the going is good! I only have a mobile left with them and i got a call today to say i've not paid my bill was just about to give card number and thought how do i know its them i'm talking to?
Checked my bank and i recently changed and guess what talktalk is the onky durect debit that didn't transfer. So phoned back to make surebits not hackers and was on the line for one hour and still in the que. I have just 6 weeks left of my contract and want to change i don't trust talktalk and wouldn't take their phone service unless it was free and you had no bank details with them.
Customer service is the worst i have ever see. If the phone doesn't go wrong its fine! But if something gies wrong then just forget it!

What network is Talk Talk on? I was on Talkmobile (are they the same) for two years and they were awful - signal reception in my area was awful, despite it being on the Vodafone network
But voted hot because my mum is a Talk Talk customer and my gran (bless her) maxed out Viber a few months ago (hard to explain wifi vs data) and will benefit from this despite my reservations - thanks OP.

I disagree. My comment was a valid point about this deal, whereas none of yours are. Strange that you've chosen to make a personal issue especially since many others have said the same thing multi times.

You need to get over yourself. I made the comment because of the tone of your post, it was like a teacher telling a school kid off. Yes, others had made the same point but not in such a haughty, superior way. In any event, if so many others had made the point, I'm at a loss as to why you felt the need to throw in your tuppenceworth as well. Anyway bored with you now so I won't be responding further, feel free to climb back on your high horse and vent your spleen.

Awesome deal especially if going through Quidco as makes it just £1.75 a month! Just a shame I've been on phone for an hour and 45 minutes trying to solve the problem that when ordering through Quidco it then comes up with the message: "We need a few more details from you.
Please call 0800 458 6005 to complete your order" ........has anyone ese had this problem?? By phoning TalkTalk regarding the problem I guess I'm gonna lose out on doing it online through Quidco :disappointed:

Great deal. Ordered for my wife as she is far more likely to get anywhere near the 1000 minutes a month limit than me plus it also means I might finally get my MiFi back. Slightly ironic that TalkTalk use the Vodafone network as I had just paid to unlock the Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 I bought her in a recent deal so that she could use her PAYG Three sim card in it. No matter as this deal is a no-brainer anyway.
Quidco also tracked at £45 within 30 minutes of ordering and is due to be paid at the end of next month so nice and quick cashback payment too. £21 for 12,000 minutes, unlimited texts and 36gb of data over the year is an absolute steal. The offer ends tomorrow so still around for Cyber Monday.

5 weeks into being a mobile customer with them on this deal (at £10.50) and they took all of my inclusive stuff away. I got a text message at 8 in the evening saying there was £8 worth of charges on my account and then 45 minutes later another message saying the account was suspended.
Their call centre closes at 8 so had to wait until the next day.
It took me 10 minutes to convince the call centre guy that I hadn't gone over my limits and eventually he went and checked and agreed. I was also told that I only received 1GB instead of 3GB but they couldn't change it and I would have to call again as my account was currently suspended! However, he didn't reinstate my account within the hour as he promised, so I went through live chat the following day.
They were much better, reinstated my account and refunded the charges.
I called them again this morning about the data, and after around 30 minutes I've been promised I should get the full 3GB.
Overall I think I've spent around 2 hours sorting out issues they've caused.
Serves me right for being so tight.

Welcome to talktalk don't people ever learn. Lower the price enough and they all come running back quite happy to have their data sold to russian hackers or 15 yr old boys just to save £2 a month it just cracks me up!
They joined o2 last nov a whole year has passed still on vodafone! customers with phones locked like me don't know whether to renew because your phone might stop working then you'll have to use vodafone for 30 days and pay £20 before they will give you the unlock code

The funny thing is it will let me order it but i'm not a talktalk broadband customer only a mobile customer but it peonably won't be an upgrade they will send me a new sim and a new number i can just see it goivng horribly wrong like everything at talktalk!
Funny thing is nothong goes wrong its not a bad service never had a problem with the mobile service just talktalk themselves are the problem and their badly trained customer services. Any one ordered this as an upgrade?

I have upgraded 3 of the 5 sims we have with TalkTalk Mobile to the £5.50 'Black Friday' deal. Only took a few mins on the phone. The upgrades will take effect on out next billing date (15/12/15). Saved myself a few quid in the process too.

30 Nov 15#132
The free upgrade deal is now showing on the /customerupgrade page and it's only 100mins, 250 texts and 200MB data monthly for 12 months.
There' s also an unlimited UK landline and mobile calls SIM option for 12 months.
Edit on 05/12/15: Thought there might be something wrong with second SIM option. The word SIM has now been removed on the upgrade page making it a home phone upgrade of Anytime calls boost.

Realised the deal was still on for today so back on Quidco I went.....still final order page said to ring TalkTalk to proceed further. Finally got through to them 1 hour and 15 mins later where I was allowed to order on the phone and (so I've been promised) also get my Quidco payment as they have made a note on my account that it was ordered online still - not sure i'll get my Quidco payment. If I do that's fantastic (only £1.75 a month) if not I'm still happy with £5.50 a month.....saving a bit more than £2 a month for this amount of mins & data (regarding one of the above comments)!!
I've been with TalkTalk for years now for fibre broadband and mobile and also can't fault the service one bit - its just the length of time to get through to the calling centre that is appalling!!

UPDATE:
And it's on o2 network now.
Did they allow you to port your old number with TalkTalk to the new deal ??
What about the porting process is it straight forward or painful process.
Contract will revert to £15/month for 700 minutes and just 2Gb data after 12 months.
http://mobile.talktalk.co.uk/sim?dclid=CMeg0vaQrskCFSFg2wod3VYH8Q&portalId=ADVERTCOM2
Now, to discover, does it allow any tethering?
Went back and no longer showing at £70.
http://help2.talktalk.co.uk/mobile-tethering
for 12 month SIM only plans up to £9.99
These current deals are better (for us) as we don't need anymore sim cards just better allowances on the one we do have.
Edit, I see the page on Quidco has now changed! It does look like £70 for contracts with a phone included and £45 for all sim only deals.
Woll they allow you to port your old TalkTalk number ?
What is the best and less complicated way of doing that ? Thanks
£70
cashback
Enjoy 1000 minutes, unlimited texts and 3GB of data for just £5.50 a month for 12 months with Britain's best value SIM (Terms and conditions)
I'm waiting on Live Support (Chat) at Quidco for an answer.
My earnings tracked at £20 earlier this afternoon, now they have gone up to £45.
But my broadband is not active until another 10 days - so technically I'm not a customer.. yet :'(
So I'm going to miss this out and the cashback as they all expire in about 5 days.
Thanks
But I qualify that by saying its a crap network, piggy backing off crappy Vodafone, and I rarely get decent net coverage anywhere & even worse phone coverage!! But it's CHEAP & I accept that as a trade off.
But I wouldnt pay more than the £3.95/month that I have done for last 3 years
I have 5 sim cards with TalkTalk mobile all of various allowances and ending at different times of the year.
It's a shame though, as their mobile phone service may be ok, I don't know.
I wouldn't put myself through that again though.
We all received a letter from Talktalk advising us this.
You're obviously not a customer if you're asking (quite rudely) for evidence.
Thank you OP!!
Thanks
ps, how long did it take to track on your account?
Never contact TalkTalk CS about the cashback. They do not like it or if if possible try to block you if you alert them that you are existing customer. We learn all of this by sharing personal experience and mutual interest ...
I haven't taken the deal, even though I think it's a bargain, as current contract is ok.
So those who said they got £70 you might want to recheck your tracking info whether it is £70 or £45 ....
We are currently upgrading our systems and will have this site available again shortly. If you require assistance with placing your TalkTalk Mobile order then please call our Mobile Sales team on 08004585331 who will be happy to help with your query. We apologise for any inconvenience.
Also they were recently hacked and lost good number of account/personal details.
Dreadful company in my experience, but admittedly pretty cheap. Always make sure you have a cuppa on hand when you ring customer services and have a pee first
Regarding the network coverage, I am living in London and I do not have the problem with the coverage sofar ..
per the top comment, never again Talktalk, your company is an embarrassment - you refuse to accept that charging people over £400 for 30 mins of data is unacceptable
Thought this would be ideal for my sons first mobile
Does anybody know if I purchase, I will also be locked in on the broadband contact for a further 12 months. (I am fed up with constant low speeds and was thinking of transferring to Virgin for superfast (the only supplier in my area for superfast broadband)
Obviously after the 12m is up then its a different matter
With the 10% speedy payment discount it was even better.
Only swapped to sky because it was an insane offer (half price phone and broadband, £100 credit and a £50 M&S voucher making the whole year free in a 12 month contract) and their broadband has been a bit ropey.
Now add this sim and its brilliant.
Maybe its because I'm a IT guy and never actually had to ring their support line.
Same story, they only knew about it after 24 hours, blah blah blah. NEVER AGAIN!
My contract with Three is ending though, so I'll tell them about the TalkMobile offer and ask them to match, as much as possible ;-)
Use the £5 credit EE SIM that u get in poundland to port out and back to talktalk

I'm glad i got out when the going is good! I only have a mobile left with them and i got a call today to say i've not paid my bill was just about to give card number and thought how do i know its them i'm talking to?

So phoned back to make surebits not hackers and was on the line for one hour and still in the que. I have just 6 weeks left of my contract and want to change i don't trust talktalk and wouldn't take their phone service unless it was free and you had no bank details with them.
Customer service is the worst i have ever see. If the phone doesn't go wrong its fine! But if something gies wrong then just forget it!
