Fantastic Tyres these. Paid around £260 for a full set not too long ago and they stick like a seagull to a chip in the rain and are just as great in the dry. I had Avon ZZ5's prior to these and Continental Contact Sport 3's before that and these beat both those hands down in all conditions.

My only very small gripe is that due to the tread pattern, stones have a habit of getting stuck in them, so it ends up sounding like you've got Michael bloody Flatley strapped to your bonnet if you pick up a stone on a motorway. Simple fix - turn up the radio.

Good price for such a large, branded tyre.

These have fairly soft side walls, so good for ride comfort over potholes but make for unresponsive/soft/wallowy handling.

XL index - so might be stiffer ?

This is rare occasion when size doesn't matter.


Just shop around. I pay £10 in my local garage.

Same money for 14inch steel or 18inch alloy(which might be pretty expensive)?
