Nothing too adventurous from me today as I'm feeling a bit ropey after too many Halloween drinks.
Cheeky deal I found whilst on the train home. I was looking at school holiday flights and put together this great trip from Birmingham to Tenerife for 2 weeks based on 2 adults and 2 children. Departing on 19th July returning on 2nd August.
This may not fit with everyone's school holiday dates but it's a great deal if they do. In Cheshire most schools break up on 15th July so ideal for people in the North West or Crewe/Staffs border.
The apartment is a 2 bed and is in Puerto de la Cruz and has decent Tripadvisor reviews. You can change this to if you want other options such as All Inclusive etc.
- Flights £281.92
- 2 Bed Apartment for 2 adults and 2 children £380 @ Travelrepublic

Total £753.78/£188.45pp

Great price! I got all excited then as we are trying to book to go to Tenerife in the half term in May/June and can't find flights for less than £2500 for 4 adults and 2 kids!

would most money conscious people not just use the airport bus or a local bus ?

Yes I am sure that this would be significantly cheaper but I guess for families they may not want the hassle of a bus then taxi? A hire car may also be similar price.

Why is resort hoppa so expensive for transfer there then? As general rule its around £5 each way per person

No idea, Alpharooms transfer was even more. I'm sure if you shop around you may be able to get cheaper. If you know of anywhere to get them cheaper please post here as sure there would be people that would find this info useful.

My children never break up that early (19th July) - usually around a week later, so no good for me I'm afraid.
