Decent price but I don't understand why anyone would buy season passes without even knowing what you'll get.

I was a fan of 3 & NV. 4 not so much. It's not up to 2015 standards and they've simply rehashed the formula of FO3 & Skyrim.
The story is uninspired, the characters are dull and lack personality partly thanks to the awful animation and clunky cliché dialog. On that note dialog has been dumbed down to a point where your response options are vague but it doesn't matter because no matter your choice all the dialog leads to the same conclusion. The addition of building settlements is neat but unrewarding.
The only praise I have for the game 12 hours in is the guns feel great but overall I'm having a really hard time getting into it. I don't care about anything that is happening in the story because I have no connection to the characters. I hate the name Shaun. Why not use the voiced names of the main character for your child also? If I named him there would be more of a connection but hey I'm doing Bethesda's job for them.
The Witcher 3 set the standard for story and character development. MGSV set the standard for a working AI companion. FO4 misses the mark by some distance but it'll get GOTY regardless.

Fallout 3 / new vegas / skyrim dlc was very hit and miss also.
Old world blues amazing, operation anchorage atrocious etc

I liked anchorage.... Even if the gear you got for completing it allowed complete annihilation of everything, having Power Armour and a Gauss rifle an hour or so in

Season passes...so, £40 for a game...and they STILL want more...? Geez, DLCs should be like patch updates...free

At the end of the day who would then make DLC's if they had to give them away?

It:s the way things are. Companies need to make money to develop more games. No such things as free.

It depends on the game and the DLC. Street Fighter costumes definitely but a game with hundreds of hours content already? Not so much. Most of the previous fallout dlc has added entirely new story lines, areas and weapons, none of it has felt like content cut from the main game. It's obvious they put a lot of work into them so why shouldn't they get paid for it? Why do you deserve more content above what was shipped? DLC when done right is well worth paying for, not all companies abuse it.

Been thinking of getting fallout 4 but rather have really people's reviews than those paid-for "reviews" on game sites.
What do we think to the game then people?

played it for about 6 straight hours today, loving it so far.
I was worried about graphics after reading negative forum posts about them, but I think they are pretty decent. admittedly it can look a little basic in places but I think it's the art style. just wait for your first storm they are terrifying and that's not easy emotion to render in a game.
I loved 3, and I already know this is going to be my game of the year if it keeps it up.

Never played a fallout game before. 2 hrs into this one, really enjoying it. But overwhelmed by size of possible places to go. Kinda takes open world to a level I've not normally played in games. (Casual Gamer)

Get Fallout 3 GOTY if you haven't already (can normally pick it up for around £5). If the graphics look last-gen download some mods to jazz it up. Fallout 4 feels very similar - if you like 3, you'll like 4.
