this,I had the same dilemma,priced at 300£ is worth every penny,2 days easy on one charge,take quick notes on lock screen(same as note 5),lots of cheap accessories available(battery,case,back covers,etc)

G4 every time for me. This is coming from a former Note 4 user and current Note 5 user.
Unless you really need the stylus, you'll get a better screen and camera with the G4, and significantly better software experience. Samsung will never update the Note 4 with its newer touchwiz version, meaning you're stuck with the slow laggy experience, along with multitasking menu that takes forever to pop up if you haven't used it in more than 5 minutes.
Screen is probably personal preference, but Samsung AMOLED panels from note 2 onwards have been pretty awful when it comes to screen uniformity. You won't find a Note 3 or 4 screen that doesn't have a big blotch of pink somewhere. And before people moan that theirs is perfect, it's not, you just can't see the defects (in which case, good for you, lucky thing).

Have one of these. Superb phone best i've ever had. Great battery life and you can also swap over spare battery in an emergency. Brilliant clear screen. Brilliant camera , takes better photos than my Panasonic camera. Great functions on phone .Also micro sd card slot for backup memory. would definately recommend.

this phone has serious issues with lag. just recycled mine after 6 months as I had to keep factory resetting it. my Oneplus One is smoother.

Often caused by a media item that can't be indexed...meaning phone constantly tried to index it in the background
Couldn't agree more. Yet to find anything else that offers more. Metal chassis, great screen, SD Card, Large Removable battery, S-Pen, Fast charge......At just over £300 this is a cracking deal.
