Bought one from Amazon a few weeks ago but sent it back. The OS was fast. Apps and such ran like a dream but the gaming aspect.....
Controller isn't very good. I'm used to an Xbox one controller and I just couldn't get away with this one. Also the main feature, game streaming is in my opinion unplayable. So much latency. I have VM broadband (70mb) The Shield was wired to my router and PC and the games are unplayable. Streaming from my PC the lag was enough to make the experience unpleasant. Nvidia now was even worse. Such a shame!

Yeah, you should of been using a switch and not a router. Routers aren't designed for that sort of bandwidth with low latency. No time for buffering with game streaming unlike youtube etc
why don't they just change the price of the item seems a bit unfair to those not going through the todayonly link

I got the pro just a couple of weeks ago from Amazon, its going back and I've reordered it with the free remote.
For some reason the one I have refuses to download off the play store via Ethernet only wifi so don't know if its a bug or the units knackered. Wasn't too bothered but this offer has made up my mind, might even order a normal model for the bedroom too.
