was in wilkos yesterday when they started reducing sweets. picked few up, but at tills cashier reduced them again ( in error I think, probably thinking they hadn't been reduced yet) so ended up picking few bags of these for 10p. lol.

that's what I was wondering. Normally its stated as e120 or carmine. I have heard sometimes asda sweets dont have carmine whereas in other supermarkets they do. But its hit & miss so best to check packet.
Carmine isnt halal, and its used in several common sweets in the UK.
