was in wilkos yesterday when they started reducing sweets. picked few up, but at tills cashier reduced them again ( in error I think, probably thinking they hadn't been reduced yet) so ended up picking few bags of these for 10p. lol.

There is no e120 on the ingredients on the packet, hence red coloured ones (which contain e120) are not mixed with these in the production line as each colour is probably separate , its the colour that's the problem not what's on the inside, if you start thinking like that then there are alot of things which are not halal.

that's what I was wondering. Normally its stated as e120 or carmine. I have heard sometimes asda sweets dont have carmine whereas in other supermarkets they do. But its hit & miss so best to check packet.
Carmine isnt halal, and its used in several common sweets in the UK.
