Been waiting for this deal again. Why would you buy Kettle or Tyrells at silly £2.50 a pack when these are only 79p normally. Or for that matter crappy Walkers? This weekend just 0.39p a pack. Only downside is Lidl never have the Cheddar ones in the deal. We did a blind test with the mainstream ones and out of 6 of us, 4 chose the Lidl over the famous brands!
I shall be in there Sat at 8am and just swoop up a box of 20 ...or more!
Just noted the other half price deals this weekend, Pulled Pork and the 100g Chocolate bars - Tiramisu sounds yummy. Hmmm also .39p

I just saw that (well, limited qty per cust, per household). Last time I was late in on Sunday afternoon and just got a box with one packet, and stuffed it full with the others. No problem at till, was nearly 7 quid if I recall.
As for the tasting test, I gave one bag to a friend and they suggested get their neighbours round (so six of us) as they reckoned Lidl crisps would be ****. Proved them wrong. End of.
The truth behind these types of crisps is Kettle, Tyrell (and M&S, Waitrose, and other crisps too) is they are a rip off. If Lidl can sell them at 79p (as do Aldi, which are comparable - their cheddar/onion ones not as good as Lidl imo though) then you, the customer, is being simply ripped off. If you want to be ripped off, and buy just because it says Kettle etc, fine. I don't.
Re Aldi hand cooked crisps - also 79p but I have never ever seen them reduced as Lidl do. I'm right, am I not?

There isn't one flavour on sale. There is: Sea salt and Balsamic vinegar, Sea salt and crushed black pepper, or lightly salted.....of course, I wish the cheddar one was included.

How does one hand cook a crisp? The oil won't get anywhere near hot enough.

Tried these but not impressed at all. Shame, as their food is otherwise excellent.
