Searching for a circa £500 Tv and found this after seeing it on Amazon & Richer Sounds for around £650 (though without the latter's 6 year guarantee). Seems to have good reviews so may take the plunge
Also found the LG 49 UF770v for £579 at appliance electronics which seems a better TV (£699 @ Richer Sounds) but don't think I will use the better smart apps as getting Nvidia Shield.
If you don't mind a refurb set Rakuten have this set available through Electrical deals for £459 when you add Octpayday code at checkout - + 2495 points (£24 worth?) thanks to Iceboy for this - voucher code runs out 30/10

I saw the LG 49UF770V in Currys yesterday. Absolutely amazing picture. Far better than any other near it. I know it's in demo mode or playing the stores HD loop but you can still see the difference compared to the cheaper ones. Incidentally it was next to the Panasonic 4k CX400, you know the one made by Vestel. The picture on the Panasonic fake was terrible.

Hot from me OP - I've got the LG 49" version of this but not 4K resolution and that cost me near on £500 only a few months ago.
Excellent TV and was good enough for me then and now but for another £20 I'd have snapped this up given the chance

Hot from me. I amended my earlier post as my facts were incorrect. I would never make a politician lol. I would be interested to see this next to the 770V as picture on that was just amazing. I wonder if I could swap my 9 month old LB650v without the wife noticing, hmmm bring on the 26th November.

Haha, yes I know. But the point I was trying to make was that I had said something earlier that was incorrect. Admitted to it and amended it. Such a shame that our politicians both in central and local government cannot do the same. I worked for somebody once who said to admit you are wrong is an act of weakness. What a total plonker. Now am ranting on about bloody politics and best go to bed or will have rants about the poll tax, council tax, insurance premium tax, the pastie tax and vat on take away food......damn there I go. Let's hope the blue b*ggers don't see how much tv's are going for on here or we will soon see a tv purchase tax......oh no, I have given them another way to exploit more money from the not so well off.
