Very tempting.
At least it doesn't have a pink case like some of these models. :-)

Anyone have an experience of purchasing from them/issues resolved if required? I have a desktop PC at home which is playing up (fan on all the time, slowing right down) and a laptop which isn't much better! Have a decent laptop solely for work and an iPad, but wouldn't mind a cheap laptop for personal use - web browsing/Word etc. I know I can use Word on the iPad now and I do have a keyboard for it, but miss using a mouse for easy cutting/pasting etc. when doing something a little more serious.
Thanks.

You will pull you hair in frustration of slow rendering; after opening 4 tabs and trying to run iPlayer

A word of, probably obvious advice here. Have you opened the case and hoovered out the fan and heat-sink.
We had a PC at work and I swear to God, it looked like a cat was living in it - there was a massive build-up of fluff in the fan, vents and cooler. It was better insulated than my roof.
Once we hoovered it out, it was much better.

yep, probably perfect for school work, social networking and streaming video. Don't expect to game though

Yes, i would say this would be a nice little laptop for word processing and general school tasks. Its very portable too which is a big plus.

I will second this..... Dell XPS One all-in-one was soooo sloooow - opened it up, thick dust, cleaned it up. Worked great after that.

would recommend a cheap can or compressed air over a hoover, not worth risking the static discharge

Aye, maybe - but so long as you're wearing a wrist-strap and are properly earthed and the plastic doesn't come into contact with anything crucial you'll be fine. I find that compressed air makes a helluva mess and you end up having to brush out all the stuff anyway, which risks further static.

this is a very sensible suggestion, spring cleaning a PC can really help with temperatures
