Robust fast drive. Probably one of the few drives that can perform faster in the real world than its conserative spec suggests. Heat.

are these as good as before the old specs use to quote 150MB/s read. seems like they are using cheaper nand or worse controller than before.

Depends if you're after a USB drive in particular. You can get a 1TB external 2.5" hard drive for £40, which makes 64gb for £10 look quite expensive.

I bought one of these in May this year and paid a couple of quid more.
The read and write speeds are pretty good at 218mb/s and 136mb/s respectively with Crystal Disk Mark.
