Launching on December 1, it offers people driving to pubs and bars a free second soft drink when they buy a Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Life, Coca-Cola Zero, Diet Coke, or Schweppes
Designated Driver is a nationwide campaign that rewards drivers who choose not to drink during the festive season with ‘buy one, get one free’ on soft drinks - ideal for those who end up pulling the short straw and end up being taxi for the night.
To further help drive footfall into participating locations, a new online Designated Driver Pub Finder will go live on December 1 at www.holidaysarecoming.com/designateddriver so consumers can search for a venue near them.

Good man. Next time you're in the pub drinking water have one on me. Just as the barman / barmaid to stick it on my tab ; )

Great idea but doesn't help me - I don't drink carbonated drinks, just water, and always end up being the driver!!

In the locals around here, Coke is so watered down and flat you probably couldnt tell the difference anyway. :smirk:

If you're getting charged for water, you should probably rethink your choice of pub.

In America they often give you soft drinks for free for designated drivers, so this is just a bit of PR, it costs pennies for a soft drink so they could do a lot more to promote not drinking and driving as the difference in pubs between a pint and soft drink is often negligible, so a lot of people often have "1 or 2"
