Good luck with that plan. Even if it didn't depreciate (which it will) you'd be lucky for a 1500 C1 to last 12 months without either falling apart or costing more than it's worth. I know, I used to do the whole cheap throwaway car thing, but for the last 4 years have leased and haven't looked back.

Not really French as such. They're all made in the Czech Republic under a joint venture with Peugeot/Citroen and Toyota. The C1, Peugeot 108 and Toyota Aygo are all one and the same, just rebranded and with different trims.
I had a C1 a few weeks ago as a courtesy car and was actually quite impressed with it. Round town it was quite nippy and good to drive and it was sort of acceptable on the motorway. Not that I would want to do regular long commutes in one though!
