Thanks for this. My eldest is insistent that the calculator I bought from the school shop is no good and his teachers have said he needs a casio. Mother in law has just text to see if I need anything from Morrisons so have sent her on a little mission. Cheers

Please provide significant detail whereby A Level Maths is useless (this is a generalised term, so you'll need to supply evidence that it's completely worthless in all aspects) and your suggested forms of Mathematics are useful.

On MEI, Core 1 is a non-calculator module but you may use a calculator for any other module (so the other 5 for A Level maths or the other 11 if you are doing further maths as well).

All stores I would have thought. My local had a label for the FX-85 (£10) but the FX-83 scans through at £3.
