wow people seriously have no clue
the reason why you notice a difference between 1080p and 4k is because your using a crappy low bit rate streams like netflix
1080p netflix is pretty crap quality wise therefore even low bit rate 4k looks better simply because it's encoded at a higher res.
it's actually been tested and reviewed and 4k netflix is worse than 1080p blu ray.
resolution is only 1 part of the jigsaw which makes a picture.
much like i could show you a 13 megapixel camera which takes better pictures than a 16 megapixel camera. how is that possible? because megapixels on their own don't mean anything, lenses, sensors, etc all make huge differences to the picture.
resolution isn't the be all and end all. in fact the most important things when it comes to picture quality are:
1. The source, the best source currently readily available are 1080p blu rays
2. Black levels which are best on plasma and OLED's
3. Motion control (no ghosting, etc)
4. Colours and Contrast
I'd much rather have a good quality 720P plasma than a poor 1080P LCD. Moving forwards with Tech I'd much rather have a good quality 1080P plasma than mediocre 4K lcd.

You have "no wifi built in" but it does unless you've just made a mistake. Personally I'd go for the 4K Samsung 40inch for like £30 more (I have it anyway).

Do you realise how close you need to sit to a 40" TV to notice any difference between 1080p and 4K?

Yes I do because I have a 4K TV and normal 1080p TV and I've watched Netflix on 1080p and 4K and the difference is outstanding. To your comment as well, not very close as I sit half way across the room and notice it very clearly.

People keep on saying this, we don't all have mansions. I have a 42" tv now and it pretty big imo. When I upgrade to 4k, I'll be buying another of the same kind of size and sitting as far away as possible just to annoy people. And I guarantee it will still look a lot nicer than my current 1080p tv.
