Just thought I'd let people know that the code 'mpi55' works to give £50 off and if you're a student you're probably eligible to get Windows 8.1 through Microsoft's Dreamspark program to save even more. I used this to get my current laptop using the last of my student loan.
This might help make up people's mind between one model and another or get a better component and makes this an even better deal for anyone interested.

Does the opposite for me, I'd like that sort of option!

Makes less difference than you think. Unless you're doing Memory Benchmarks you'll never notice. It's only about a 10-15% increase in performance.

Surely two can't be compared.. One is gaming machine and other is a ultrabook lasting over 10 hours primed for business/photography tasks etc. You get Mac book air for how small and convenient it is to work with.
On this laptop, great spec for great price.

How is this remotely comparable to a Macbook Air? People I know who own MBAs buy it for the weight and portability. They don't buy it to play games. However, I do agree for the money it's a decently spec'd machine that will be able to play newer games at medium/high with no problems.

Only when you're using Integrated Graphics, which aren't much cop for gaming any way.

Absolutely costs twice as much as a PS4! Absolutely loads more that can go wrong with it!
You will absolutely need to upgrade at some point to keep up with the latest games.
I'm not a PC hater I'm just evening up the argument.

Do you? I'm serious, PC games have options for running games at lower quality to maintain 60fps, something consoles lack with their 900p 30fps scaled up to 1080p. Sure you'll need to upgrade it at some point, as you will with the PS4 and Xbone but it's already way ahead of the power of the Xbone and PS4.
